Cool Cruel Mouth is Larsen s ninth full-length studio album and marks 15 years of activity with a fine collection of textural, cinematic, haunting, and nocturnal songs. Written and recorded in 2010, Cool Cruel Mouth finds the band as a five-piece with the full-time addition of lyricist and vocalist Little Annie Anxiety Bandez. The record also features the inimitable Baby Dee playing piano on one of the two instrumentals, as well as on her own composition Unheard of Hope, one of Larsen s rare covers here in good company with their surprising interpretation of crooner classic It Was a Very Good Year.
